The Maxis studio in Emeryville, CA hosted a Community Day to invite key community leaders for a day with the makers of Spore.

During their visit they took a tour of the office, watched a demo, had a hands on gameplay session, then interviewed a panel of developers. See pics and posts from the trip here:
